INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY
Lewis Chapel is a part of a network of churches that serve as ‘Hosts Congregations” that provide shelter for persons that have become homeless for whatever reason. As a Host Congregation, LC hosts families overnight, a week at a time, approximately four times per year. We provide a buffet style dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch to go. Volunteers create and organize activities for the children, extend a listening ear to the parents, and very often furnish referrals to employment, direct assistance with household furnishings, basic need items, and the list goes on. Additional information may be obtained at www.cumberlandihn.org.
