"Teaching Out Of The Box To Reach The Masses"
The Department of Christian Education provideseducational opportunities to reach persons of all ages and stages in life through our departmentalized Sunday School. The eleven adult classes offer students an opportunity to study the Word of God in an atmosphere that ranges from traditional to progressive class settings. The Christian Education Department provides Adult students with an Adult Lesson Outline that is based on the International Sunday School series. Children and youth learn and develop their faith in Jesus Christ through ten classes that utilize developmental appropriate curriculum. 

In addition to monthly in-house training sessions, the Sunday School staff and teachers are required to participate in a minimum of one workshop or seminar each year. The Sunday School Department further supports the District and State Conventions financially. 

Vacation Bible School, a very vital ministry of the Department of Christian Education, is sponsored each year by the Sunday School Department. Inspired by our Pastor, Dr. John D. Fuller, Sr., our Vacation Bible School adopts a creative outreach ministry in which twenty-three (23) Backyard Vacation Bible Schools are conducted. A Mission Group and host family sponsors each Backyard Vacation Bible School. The sites of these Vacation Bible Schools are located throughout Cumberland, Hoke (Raeford) and Robeson (Lumberton) Counties. This innovative venture has proved to be very successful in connecting our church with the community. The Sunday School Department also sponsors two Adult VBS Sessions in the Spring and Summer.
